Discovering new talent from universities, solving inquiring student’s questions, and offering a space for fresh ideas and contributions are some of our commitments as a company. The research projects of Dextra help to fulfill those needs and compromises.
Knowledge transfer
We currently work with institutions to implement programs of study, workshops on technologies used in Dextra. This transfer of knowledge is in both directions: Dextra to universities, and viceversa.
Our most recent involvement, November 2008, was with the Tec of Monterrey (ITESM Campus Monterrey, www.itesm.mx) where we worked in mutual coordination to create a Symbian development program for its students and the embedded systems consortium in the same institution.
Previous work has been done with the Tec of Monterrey (ITESM Campus Monterrey) and Dextra Technologies where they prepare a technical training for our people regarding multimedia technologies.
We are able to provide help regarding IT Services, embedded mobile systems, and multimedia systems.
We are always looking for technology developed by universities, institutes of technology, and academic research centers to bring them into the industry practice. Our concept of acceleration focuses on a proactive technology transfer, and industry alike management.
With industry alike management, we basically look to reach immediateness of the results of academic research, and a transfer process oriented towards short term applicable results, so that those results can be brought into industry faster and with a higher level of trust for the clients, which is who receives the new technology. We as Dextra provide the experimental part of the transfer, and the industry receives immediate results.
If you are currently a student of any university around the globe and would like to experiment our working and living model towards industry software development models, and a combination research activities, don’t hesitate contacting us.
